Musō Shinden-ryū

Chūden

Middle Level (中伝)

Hasegawa Eishin-ryū • Tatehiza

Chūden (中伝), or "middle transmission", consists of techniques from Hasegawa Eishin-ryū. These forms are executed from the Tatehiza posture (sitting with one knee raised).

In contrast to the first series, the enemy is considered to be very close. Thus, the primary goal is to create proper cutting distance (Kirima) by stepping back.
